An Exhibit Everyone Can Enjoy: See the Latest Work at Art in the Garden
Come take a stroll in the garden and see some great art at the latest outdoor exhibit at the San Antonio Botanical Garden! Continuing its Art in the Garden programming, the Botanical Garden presents a new sculpture installation featuring the works of George Tobolowsky. It’s a wonderful way to spend a refreshing Saturday!
Based at the Mountain Springs Sculpture Studio in Mountain Springs, Texas, Tobolowsky is an innovative artist who creates abstract metal sculptures from found objects, pieces of bulky industrial castoffs scoured from scrap yards and fabrication plants. The metal pieces, rarely altered, are arranged into balanced compositions fit together like “pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.” Considered part assemblage and part recycling, his work follows closely the artistic influence of Louise Nevelson. The exhibited work includes more than 20 steel sculptures from Tobolowsky, placed in the beautiful Lucile Halsell Conservatory setting. Come experience this special display in the San Antonio Botanical Garden!
At Hillcreste at Thousand Oaks Apartments in San Antonio, Texas, we believe it’s important to integrate yourself into the community, which is why we suggest attending this event. Meeting new people, having unfamiliar experiences, and joining neighborhood activities is the key to an exceptional lifestyle.
