Maroon 5 Makes a Stop in San Antonio for their Red Pill Blues Tour

The Red Pill Blues Tour is the sixth concert tour by American band Maroon 5, in support of their sixth studio album Red Pill Blues (2017). The tour began on March 1, 2018 in Quito, Ecuador.

Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band from Los Angeles, California. It currently consists of lead vocalist Adam Levine, keyboardist and rhythm guitarist Jesse Carmichael, bassist Mickey Madden, lead guitarist James Valentine, drummer Matt Flynn, keyboardist PJ Morton and multi-instrumentalist Sam Farrar.

Maroon 5 have been the recipients of three Grammy Awards, three American Music Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, and five Teen Choice Awards. In 2004 World Music Awards, it won the award for "World's Best New Group". In 2012, Maroon 5 won the People's Choice award for Favorite Band.

Maroon 5 ranked 15 on Recording Industry Association of America's (RIAA) "Top Artists – Digital Singles" list, with certified sales of 15 million in the United States. In 2013, Maroon 5 became the third most-played artist on Top 40 Mainstream radio, based on Clear Channel owned Mediabase, becoming one of the most successful acts of Interscope Records. On September 10, 2014, their fifth studio album, V, debuted at top of the weekly Billboard 200 chart with 164,000 copies sold within the first week.

Armed with a new album and a slew of North American tour dates, Maroon 5 are back in the spotlight. The Adam Levine-fronted group announced today that the Red Pill Blues Tour, named after their sixth studio release, will kick off on May 30 in Tacoma, WA at the Tacoma Dome. After that it’s off to Texas, Florida and the Midwest, before a two-month break in July and August. Come September, the band will make the rounds on the East Coast, before finishing things off with two nights at NYC’s Madison Square Garden on October 14 and 15. Julia Michaels will be joining Maroon 5 on the road as tour support.
